Donington Park - Crash and Action - BRSCC Weekend - June 2023

The action from what was actually a fairly uneventful meeting at Donington Park, this time for the British Racing and Sports Car Clubs' "Summer Race Weekend", which saw racing from a wide variety of their championships. The incidents may have been few and far between, but the racing was as always, brilliant; even the likes of the formula fords, which only had a grid size of 10, put on an incredible showing with some real wheel to wheel action! Everything was going pretty smoothly all weekend with it living up to the "Summer Race Weekend" title the meeting was granted... That was until about 5pm on the Sunday when the heavens opened on the C1 Endurance with possibly the heaviest shower I have ever experienced trackside. Unsurprisingly the race had to be red flagged then restarted after the rain had passed, since the track transformed from bone dry to flooded in a matter of seconds.
