May Sewing Check In- Makes, Purchases & Plans!

Hi Friends, Fatmata here! This week, we talk about all things spring sewing. This #memademay2025, I am documenting my handmade wardrobe over on IG under a new handle: ‪@TIMA_Made‬, I hope you join me over there for daily photos and videos and a behind-the-scenes look at my spring sewing adventures. I am currently working on my vintage Very Easy Vogue 9149 dress (sorry, I wrote it incorrectly on the video), and it has not been without its challenges. However, I am slowly making my way through and finding solutions. I hope to complete this dress by the end of this week. My other vintage Butterick dress B3908 is still in need of buttons, I want to complete that by the end of the month as well. Ah, and my childrens' PJs, it hasn't been a fun make, I have been changing up the construction a bit, and that has made it a bit more involved. However, I hope to finalize the garment and get it out of the sewing queue. Then I can turn my attention to my other spring sewing plans. My cousin would like another Eid outfit for Eid Al-Adha next week, so we went to ‪@gstreetfabricss‬ to pick up some amazing fabric, and I walked away with some things for myself as well. I got distracted by some colorful flounces, but I have to put that away until summer!
