This is a playthrough using Akuma in the Arcade version of Super Gem Fighter: Mini Mix / Pocket Fighter. Read on below for more information... Akuma is a hidden playable character in this game. ===== HOW TO SELECT AKUMA ===== On the character select screen, Akuma's icon is hidden at the top-left of the grid, which is to the left or Ryu and above Chun-Li. Just go to this space and he'll appear. ===== STORY IN POCKET FIGHTER ===== Introduction: As told starting around 1:27 in the video. Ending: As shown starting around 19:01. ===== GAMEPLAY ===== Akuma has a vast array of great Shotokan moves in this game, making him my favourite Shoto to use (what a shocker)... in the same way as in SFEX1 where Akuma kind of had the best of both (Ryu and Ken) and also having his own unique moves such as the Air Fireball. ===== OTHER INFORMATION ===== ---- His personal boss at the end is Lei-Lei. ---- His Max Level 3 Fireball sprite appears to be the same one as M.Bison's Psycho Shot in the SFA games but coloured differently. ---- The game was planned to be called Street Fighter Kids which only featured Street Fighter characters, but this idea was dropped during development as characters from other Capcom games were added in. ---- This is the only Capcom fighting game to feature more female characters than males. ---- He is known as Gouki in Japan. ---- The game is known as Pocket Fighter in Japan. ===== ABOUT POCKET FIGHTER ===== After the success of Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, it was speculated that Capcom were always going to produce a "chibi" fighter using the existing character sprites in SPFII as a base to start off with, considering there were many frames "already done". The game is certainly a barrel of laughs everywhere. Nothing in the game is serious, it's all comedy. Don't let the visuals fool you - the characters have large sets of movelists along with the Special button (the one that allows you to do the comical unblockables), and the fact that Special Moves can be upgraded/powered-up to 3 levels means that there "multiple" versions of Special Moves. You'll also have a good time playing 'spot the cameos & references' in the game's stages/backgrounds too.
