The Holy Nope Breakdown: "People don't go to hell for sin." Mike Todd'd doctrine is subtle, perhaps, but ultimately mocks the blood of Jesus, and creates a God would who deal out "double jeopardy" by punishing people for whom Christ has already been punished. Many people seemed to agree with Todd. You have a problem. Either unbelief is not sin, and so there is no hell to suffer (your sins having been paid for), or unbelief is a sin for which Christ has not paid - meaning that either you cannot be saved, or your own self-willed faith "completes the transcation," as it were, adding that 1% to the 99% finished work of Jesus. The bottom line is that Mike Todd "PrEEEEchInG" that Jesus paid for the sins of unbelievers who will spend eternity in hell is false, heretical, and borderline blasphemous. Jesus didn't merely make salvation possible. His atonement isn't hypthetical nor potential in nature. The good news that Jesus seccesfully, effectively, and definitely accomplished and secured the salvation of His people.
