American students protest Israeli advisor Tzipi Livni’s lecture at Cornell University

American students at Cornell University organised a protest during the visit of Israeli advisor Tzipi Livni, who was scheduled to deliver a lecture on campus. The protesters called for her immediate departure, confronting the former Israeli Foreign Minister over her role in the 2014 Israeli war in Gaza, which resulted in the deaths of at least 500 Palestinian children. They argued that Livni’s presence on campus legitimises Israeli policies that contribute to the ongoing suffering of Palestinians. Cornell University hosted the "Pathways to Peace" panel on March 10, which also featured former US Ambassadors Ryan Crocker and Daniel Shapiro, and former Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad.
