Colonoscopic Polypectomy Using Resolution clip (Boston)SQUARE HOSPITAL LTD Bangladesh

A 14 year's old boy presented with P/R Bleeding at SQUARE HOSPITAL LTD Dhaka Bangladesh. During colonoscopy there are multiple polyps of variable sizes are seen at the rectum, sigmoid, descending and transverse colon. All the polyps (except larger pedunculated polyp) are either removed by diathermy snare or by hot biopsy forceps. A Resolution (Boston) clip is applied at the base of the polyp for prevent any possible of bleeding and removed by diathermy snare. Hemostasis maintained. Procedure: COLONOSCOPIC POLYPECTOMY Indication: P/R bleeding Medication: Under sedation FINDINGS: SEEN UP TO TERMINAL ILEUM: Perianal region to terminal ileum examined. Perianal region is normal, there is no skin tag, fistulous opening or rectal mucosal prolapse present. Hemorrhoids columns are merge with anal mucosa, no blood present. Anal verge is smooth, no fissure present. Multiple polyps of variable sizes are seen at the rectum, sigmoid, descending and transverse colon. All the polyps (except larger pedunculated polyp) are either removed by diathermy snare or by hot biopsy forceps. A Resolution (Boston) clip is applied at the base of the polyp for prevent any possible of bleeding and removed by diathermy snare. Hemostasis maintained. Rest of the colon and terminal ileum is normal in respect of lumen, mucosa and vascular pattern. BIOPSY: Resected polyps are sent for histopathology.
