Jaap is no doubt a adding machine expert shares a deep understanding of his hobby. On his channel he reviews old calculators, adding machines, counting machines, etc. His videos are really thorough and absolutely fascinating, even for someone like me who knows nothing about the mechanics of old calculators. Really interesting stuff. I've probably watched all of his videos at least once so I'd highly recommend his channel. To top it all off his British accent with a hint of a Dutch accent too is the perfect cherry on top of the this unintentional ASMR classic. Hope you enjoy! --- Our Edits --- We have carefully selected six of Jaap’s videos that we felt had a lot of relaxing moments in them and removed some sections where he tapped on the machine loudly. To maximize the ASMR effect, we edited the audio on all videos and made sure the volume was the same all throughout the video compilation. As usual, we tidied up the audio and highlighted Jaap’s voice by lowering the volume of loud clicks or totally removing them, as well as other non-relaxing parts. --- Original Video --- Jaap talks about historical counting machines and calculators which are very interesting, as he provides a lot of noteworthy information which suggests the evolution of the modern-day calculator and computers. Apart from the technical data, he also talks about the inventors, history, as well as the uses of these devices.
