In this video I have a conversation with Dr. Anis Hilal who is a doctor currently doing his 4th year of residency in ophthalmology (eye medicine/ögonläkare). Originally from Lebanon, he moved to Lithuania to pursue his medical degree. He studied at Kaunas University in Lithuania. He then moved to Sweden and soon started his residency in ophthalmology, which he is currently doing in Region Skåne (Malmö and Lund). In this video we talk about why we chose medicine, what makes ophthalmology (or psychiatry) interesting to us. How is it to work as a doctor in Sweden and how is it to study medicine in Sweden vs rest of Europe and/or rest of the world. Furthermore, we also talk about study techniques, mental wellbeing and mechanisms, tips & tricks to find joy in medicine, in your speciality, in medical school and in life in general.
