track 4 of checkpoint this is the oldest song from the EP, initially written in october 2021, and the only track that didn't need to be reworked. at the time, i was listening to shoegaze, which inspired the string sections. i was also listening to drum and bass, which inspired the drum break in the first string section. originally, i intended to title this song checkpoint, but decided that its current title was a better fit. so, i reserved the old title for the EP, and made this song the closing track instead. enjoy :)
