End of day runs on the day of our annual Banked Slalom Race event here in Ontario. Conditions were mildly slushy, with consistent rain/freezing rain throughout the day. W22 Amplid Souly Grail 157. Rider Specs (Gerard) Weight:~170lbs Boots: 8US VANS Infuse x Longo Binders: Burton CartelX Angles: +24/0 (~20.5" stance) Resort: Beaver Valley Ski Club (Markdale, Ontario) Flex (at my weight): ~7/10 feels relatively consistent from nose to tail, with slight torsional flex, but minimal. Takeaways: Super smooth ride, especially with the Antiphase tech that keeps the vibrations in the nose to a minimum. Plus, the build feels relatively beefier compared to the former Mothership-made decks. Rails turns on groomers, especially in softer snow. Long radius turns feel great; medium & short ones are enjoyable, too. A solid banked slalom board, as well. Beat my personal best finish from last year, at this year's Banked Slalom race with this. The camber was surprisingly mellower than I expected out the wrapper (~4mm-ish). Still has decent pop, esp if carrying decent speed & load it well. Very stable landing gear if planning to get some air time. Have a ton of fun hitting sidehits and jumps with this. Switch is doable, but not ideal, of course. Thankfully got blessed w/ some snowfall during our trip to Whis last year, got to ride it in deeper conditions than what we normally get in Ontario. Floats great and fun for pow slashing! No issues with floating to report at this point. All in all, this deck is still great and highly enjoyable esp for turning. Not too much of a chore to ride at my weight/specs, but still beefy enough keep you sturdy and stable when pushing it. Highly recommend, esp if looking for a ripper that won't feel like a plank/barn door. Song Credit: Rebirth - Tinlicker
