Transforming Assessment Webinar 1 March 2023. Presenters: Nathaniel Louwrens (Manager, Assessment Design with the Open Polytechnic business unit of Te Pūkenga) and Dr Mark Nichols (Executive Director Learning Design & Development with the Open Polytechnic business unit of Te Pūkenga). Reusing assessment tasks in online and distance learning runs the risk of cheating or advantaging later students. This session explored how we can produce assessment tasks that can be reused, even by different teachers, while minimising the risk of academic integrity breaches. The principles advantage and disadvantages of the approach were explored as we examples including authentic assessment design, complex tasks using multiple variables and online interactive oral assessment. This session was hosted by Professor Geoff Crisp, RMIT University and Dr Mathew Hillier, Macquarie University, Australia starting 07:00AM UST/GMT. Duration 48 minutes.
