VMware Workstation has a feature called Shared Folders that allows you to setup a network type share to your host computer that can be accessed by your virtual machines. You can also configure it to map a drive as well. You will need to have Network Discovery enabled from the VM if you are not going to use the mapped drive feature. This is different from the Guest Isolation feature that allows you to drag and drop files and copy and paste text between your host and VMs using the Workstation console.
