Aloha Tower Marketplace is an airy waterfront outdoor mall located within the Honolulu Harbor of Honololu, Hawaii. The marketplace includes several national historic landmarks including the Aloha Tower, Falls of Clyde, and the Hawaii Maritime Center. Built and completed in 1994, the Aloha Tower Marketplace was built as a commercial revitalization project for the Honolulu Harbor. In 2015, redevelopment of the site was completed after the Hawaii Pacific University took full control of the complex after they bought the property in 2013. As the centerpiece of the shopping center, the Aloha Tower is a retired lighthouse that is considered a historic landmark of the state of Hawaii. It has continued to be a guiding beacon to welcoming vessels to the Honolulu Harbor since it was first built in 1926. Since it first opened in 1926, the Aloha Tower was the tallest structure in Hawaii for four decades at 10 stories height. The architecture of the tower follows the Hawaiian Gothic style.
