Hi! This was the most advanced garage I could come up with for my robotic lawn mower (Johan) at the Cabin. I will soon start a new and even bigger robotic lawn mower - garage project for my lawn mower at home. And therefore I figured, why not upload a full video of my last summer project. In this video I build a fully automated garage for my Segway Navimow H105E robot mower. His real name is Johan. The garage automatically opens and closes when the mower (Johan) leaves or returns to charge, and the whole system is controlled by an Arduino-based control system with sensors and custom electronics. It can also be activated through Google home app, or the integrated Google mini speaker. What started as a simple idea quickly turned into a seriously over-engineered project involving digging, concrete work, carpentry, welding, electronics, 3D printing and programming. The garage is built on a reinforced concrete slab with a foundation wall and wooden structure, topped with a metal roof and plexiglass window. Inside, the mower is protected from weather while charging. The automation system uses an Arduino, ultrasonic sensors and an H-bridge motor controller to track the mower as it enters and leaves the garage. The door opens automatically when the mower starts mowing or returns to dock. The system can also be controlled manually from a phone. The project also covers a lot of 3D printing of custom parts. The project also includes Google Home integration, voice control, LED lighting, remote monitoring with an IP camera, and Wi-Fi coverage across the yard. All custom parts were designed in Fusion 360 and 3D printed using a FlashForge AD5X and a Bambu Lab X1 Carbon. Want to Build Your Own? I’ve put together a complete DIY guide covering the entire project: Etsy – Frengen Engineering: https://www.etsy.com/no-en/shop/Freng... The guide includes: All 3D print files (STL) Arduino code Wiring table Electronics parts list with links Overall measurements (Not a detailed woodworking guide) Enjoy the project?
