Harold Lloyd may not be as widely remembered as Charlie Chaplin or Buster Keaton, but in the silent era he was every bit their equal — and often more daring. Famous for his breathtaking stunts, especially the legendary clock tower scene in Safety Last!, Lloyd built a career on fearless physical comedy that risked life and limb for laughs. In this retrospective, we’ll explore how Harold Lloyd became Hollywood’s “third genius of silent comedy,” why his blend of thrills and humor stood apart, and how his legacy of death-defying comedy still resonates today. This video is a re-upload of an original edit that contained a technical error. This project was not commissioned by Harold Lloyd Entertainment Inc. and was made purely as a fan tribute.
