In 1974, at the young age of 18, he joined the Muscat Army, where through discipline, dedication, and honesty, he rose to the rank of Warrant Officer. Alongside his military career, his love for knowledge never faded. He continued his education privately and successfully completed his FA and BA examinations, proving that learning has no boundaries. After retiring from military service in Muscat, Peeral Shey Tigri returned to his homeland and dedicated himself fully to public service, education, and literature. He established Waseem Medical Store in the heart of Kech, not merely as a business but as a place of service to humanity. Remarkably, his clinic also became an unofficial literary center, where poets, writers, scholars, and students gathered regularly for discussions, poetry sessions, and intellectual exchange. One of the most historic contributions of Peeral Shey Tigri was his role in promoting girls’ education. At a time when no proper school existed for girls beyond the primary level in his area, he organized parents, formed an education committee, and personally took the responsibility of ensuring that girls could study from middle to high school. His struggle for education transformed generations. In 2002, his public service was further recognized when he was elected as Deputy Nazim (Vice Chairman) of Union Council Ghannah under the Local Government system, where he continued working for development, education, and social welfare. Peeral Shey Tigri entered the field of Balochi poetry in the 1980s and soon became a powerful and respected literary voice. His poems were published in almost every major Balochi newspaper and literary magazine. He was not only a poet but also a novelist and prose writer. His famous literary works include: • Palgaaren Drout (1993 – Poetry Collection) • Mulooren Bulour (2016 – Short Stories) • Sanj Shouden Ragaam Ragham (Second Poetry Collection – Published later) His house, clinic, and gatherings became centers of literary movement. Renowned poets and writers traveled from distant regions to sit with him, recite poetry, exchange ideas, and strengthen Balochi literary culture. Under the guidance of Ibrahim Abid and Ustad Shaukat Hayat, Peeral Shey Tigri also played a key role in organizing literary visits and mushairas in Tump, Nasirabad, Dasht, and surrounding areas. Despite living in Muscat for many years, his love for Balochistan and Balochi literature never weakened. Literary circles in Al Ain (UAE) still remember how he would travel every month from Muscat just to attend Balochi literary gatherings. During his service in the Muscat Army, he distributed Balochi newspapers and magazines, taught Balochi language, and became one of the founding members of the Baloch Literary Organization “Baam Adabi Majlis.” Peeral Shey Tigri was known for his gentle nature, smiling face, open heart, and deep humility. He was a friend of the poor, a guide for the youth, and a symbol of compassion. Those who met him remember his kindness, patience, and wisdom that left a lasting impact on every soul he touched. On 16th December 2014, the literary world lost this shining star — but his words, his service, and his legacy continue to live on in the hearts of the people. This documentary tribute is lovingly presented by Ishaque Khamosh through the YouTube channel History Maker Balochi. The video brings together powerful thoughts, memories, and reflections from renowned Balochi intellectuals and scholars. This documentary also includes rare archival video clips, emotional memories, and never-seen-before moments that make this tribute an invaluable record of Balochi literary history. Special appreciation goes to Dilawar Peeral Shey Tigri for preserving, documenting, and sharing his father’s priceless literary legacy for future generations. Balochistan. This is not just a video — it is a living memory of a literary legend.
