In this field test, iVue Robotics Founder, Jacob Andrews, works with Engineering Intern, Riddhi Savahle, to take the controls for her first ever flight of a Develop Air drone. The session begins with a demonstration using a MacBook running the iVue RoboControl app paired with a PlayStation controller, showcasing the ease of flight for a first time pilot. Jacob and Riddhi then switched to a Lenovo Legion Go with a built in controller with similar success prior to testing waypoint mission capabilities. After encountering software hurdles with mission uploads on the handheld device, the focus shifts to the maiden flight of a newly built Develop Air mini. Jacob takes the controls for this smaller variant, identifying and troubleshooting a yaw rotation issue mid-flight before wrapping up with a look into the Mission Planner parameters to resolve the control link configuration. 00:00 Intro & Flight Plan 01:06 Installing Propellers 04:54 Flight 1: MacBook & PS Controller Setup 07:20 Riddhi's First Flight 09:52 Switching to Legion Go 11:42 Attempting Waypoint Mission 14:12 Setting Up the Develop Air Mini 16:22 Develop Air Mini Maiden Flight 19:55 Returning to the Car for Debugging 21:23 Troubleshooting with Mission Planner 26:08 Adjusting Telemetry Parameters 30:05 Final Connection Attempts 33:30 Wrap Up & Outro Develop Air is available to buy or build DIY at ivuerobotics.com.
