Country dance and session tunes played at a stead speed for playing along with, in D or G, and on a D/G melodeon. Videos in this Playalong series may not always be played on a melodeon, but if I use another instrument - eg, fiddle or banjo - it will still be in D or G, or in both keys. This time it's the carol Ding Dong Merrily on High, which I gather was first published in 1924. It uses a French dance tune - a branle tune called the Le Branle de l'Officiel, which I think was composed in 1588. See the Goudhurst U3A section of the Singdanceandplay website for more information.
