One of 3 remaining tridents at Basildon depot along with 33086 and 33095 - all 51 reg funny enough - yet the only Euro 5 convert remaining in the Essex fleet! Driver was very very keen to get this back to Basildon to the point he would constantly leave timing points 4 or 5 minutes late yet still make about 9 minutes up - welcome to the 25’s timetable! Rather than giving this a bash because he wanted to, whilst regulating in Shotgate, admitted to the other driver that he was flooring it due to “having no aircon in the cab and the last driver who drove with his doors open as “aircon” (funny enough I was on that run) was suspended”. With these tridents due to leave, at the latest, at the end of 2020 and trident numbers with first dwindling it shan’t be long until another modern classic becomes part of history! Enjoy!
