This is a reconstruction of the Bombe devices used at Bletchley Park to crack the enigma codes. This machine's task was to determine the settings for the Enigma machine based on assumptions on a message's content. For example, some operators would append a message with "Heil Hitler" - so if you assumed that the last few characters of an encrypted message represented that phrase, you could attempt to determine the settings that machine used.
