Join us as we visit Natura Cavall that have a fantastic group of people whose passion it is to rescue horses from around the island of Mallorca, meet an ex trotting horse that was only rescued a few days ago, only 3 years old, see how Joan and his son Xavier handle the rescuees, from trimming their feet, to riding them for the first time since they arrived to desensitizing the horses to everyday noises and other farmyard animals and machinery. Our tractor gets caught on a branch and we get stuck whilst trying to rescue another tractor that had fallen down a ditch! For many years Joan and Xavier have rescued and what they call reset ex trotting horses as many, once their racing days are over are sold for the basic price of horse meat as they are not deemed as a desirable horse to have due to the fact they are only used to a very fast trot and have not been taught to canter or gallop whilst being ridden and many are not socialised to anything more than the trotting arena.
