This video describes the Märklin 72442/72441 braking module (aka brake module aka signal module). It is describes how it works, the principles behind it, Tips'n'Tricks and how to install & wire it. It is described how to use the M83/braking module combo with the Mobile Station 2 (MS2) and the Central Station 3 (CS3). Additionally, it is show how to change the braking delay / dec(eleration). This video shows you how install the Märklin braking module with the M83. In the video the Märklin 72442 brake module and the Märklin 60832 M83 is used. However, you can use the Märklin 72441 brake module and/or the Märklin 60831 M83 in the same way. ALWAYS do the installation with POWER OFF, read the manual and safety instructions. Remember to connect the wires correctly to each section. You also need: Plugs: 5xRed, 1xBrown, 1xGreen, 1xYellow (see below) Solder or use C-track spade connectors (Märklin 74995) Blue wire (Märklin 7101) Yellow wire (Märklin 7103) Red wire (Märklin 7105) Brown wire (Märklin 7102) Track insulators (for C-track Märklin 74030) New style plugs - use with Märklin 72442 braking module: Märklin 71400 Mixed 66 plugs / 34 sockets Märklin 71411 10 Brown plugs Märklin 71412 10 Yellow plugs Märklin 71413 10 Green plugs Märklin 71414 10 Orange plugs Märklin 71415 10 Red plugs Märklin 71416 10 Grey plugs Märklin 71422-6 sockets in various colors Old style plugs - use with Märklin 72441 braking module: Märklin 7130 Mixed 66 plugs / 34 sockets More Information / background videos • Using Märklin 60831/60832 m83 Decoder for Turnout Mechanisms 74490-2 (Beginner Episode 6): • Using Märklin 60831/60832 m83 Decoder for ... • Adding Accessories to Mobile Station 2 (MS2 Episode 6): • Adding Accessories to Mobile Station 2 (MS...
