Portable Batch System (or simply PBS) is the name of computer software that performs job scheduling. Its primary task is to allocate computational tasks, i.e., batch jobs, among the available computing resources. It is often used in conjunction with UNIX cluster environments. (Wikipedia) In this video I talk about my experience running thousands of instances of ns-3 simulation, each with different parameters, in parallel. I was able to obtain results of running over 28,000 simulation runs in under 30 minutes with the resources I requested from the computing cluster. PBS is widely used by academic institutions around the world. So I hope this video provides motivation to use it if results from different simulation setup are needed.
