Health Minister launches new HIV treatment campaign in Soweto

Health Minister Doctor Aaron Motsoaledi is launching a new HIV treatment campaign in Soweto. The goal is to get more people living with HIV on treatment by December 2025. This initiative, in partnership with the South African National AIDS Council and other stakeholders, seeks to increase access to life-saving HIV treatment. The target is for 95% of diagnosed individuals to begin and remain on antiretroviral therapy to manage the virus effectively. SABC News Reporter Hasina Gori is on that story and joins us live.
