This is a book for everyone and no one, especially if you live in a wealthy country (at least relatively speaking) because when is the last time you've heard about tuberculosis in the US? Or the UK? Or France? etc. Unless you are a healthcare worker, you might not have even heard the word uttered in years if not decades. Ultimately this book is about whether or not we care when the people who are suffering are not near us. If not, this book is not for you. But if you are able to feel the pain of someone across the ocean almost as if it is your own, then this is the book for you.
