Matt Frattin "Making the most of a 2nd chance"
Senior forward Matt Frattin is the 2011 W-C-H-A scoring leader and has the most goals in the NCAA. But his college hockey career did have some bumps along the way. He was involved in alcohol-related incidents that put his spot on the team in jeopardy. Coach Dave Hakstol removed him from the team his junior year. Hakstol challenged Matt to get his priorities in order. Frattin spent a semester away from school and the team. He used his time off to work out, get in shape, and do some soul searching. He was encouraged by friends and team mates to re-enroll in school and prove to his former team that he belongs in the line-up. He has met the challenge and is making the most of his second chance. This story aired on the "INSIDE Fighting Sioux Hockey Show" produced by the University of North Dakota Television Center.
