Follow me on Instagram to see what I’m currently working on-   / andsewitbegins_   Inspired by Emma (2020) and Bridgerton, as I’m sure many others have been, I have started sewing Regency clothes. As I am quite new to historical costuming this is my first time making something from this period. This video is about constructing Regency era Short Stays using the Redthreaded pattern. Generally short stays are not advisable for people with a larger bust as the full length busk in regular stays gives more support, but I wanted to give it a shot. Using the largest size the pattern came in, XXL, I had to make adjustments to the pattern pieces to accommodate a more plus size figure. Disclaimer I am very much an amateur sewist and make many mistakes and use questionable at best techniques. Materials Used: 1.5 yards of cotton coutil https://www.etsy.com/listing/84033219...
