Cast: Duck 🐤 瀬戸神社/Seto shirne 神奈川県横浜市金沢区瀬戸１８−１４ https://www.setojinja.or.jp/ ご由緒 大昔、今日の泥亀町から釜利谷東一帯は大きな入江でした。 この入江と平潟湾とは、今日の瀬戸橋の位置にあたる狭い水路状の海峡でつながっていました。 そしてこの小さな海峡は、潮の干満の度に内海の海水が渦を巻いて出入りする「せと」でした。 古代の人は水流の険しい「せと」を罪穢れを流し去ってしまう神聖なところであるとして、豊な幸をもたらしてくれる神々をここに祭りました。これが瀬戸神社の起源です。 神社の隣接地からはすでに古墳時代には祭りが行われていたことを証する祭祀遺物が出土しています。 瀬戸神社の御祭神が「飛び石」（金龍院という近くのお寺にこの石が残っています。）という岩に乗って出現されたという伝承も、こうした古代の人以来の語り伝えでありましょう。 History A long time ago, the area from today's Deiki-cho to the eastern part of Kamariya was a large cove. This cove and Hirakata Bay were connected by a narrow waterway-like strait, which is the location of today's Seto Bridge. And this small strait was a "set" where the seawater of the inland sea swirls in and out every time the tide ebbs and flows. The ancients celebrated here the gods who bring abundant happiness, saying that the steep "set" of the water stream is a sacred place to wash away the filth. This is the origin of Seto Shrine. Relics of rituals that prove that the festival was held during the Kofun period have already been excavated from the area adjacent to the shrine.
