One thing you might notice in this trip is that the Whisky a Go Go is bald. For decades up until this week, there was a giant static billboard situated on top of the Whisky a Go Go that was removed to make way for an even bigger digital billboard. The new billboard will snake over the back of the Whisky from a giant caisson behind the building, and once completed, will hover above the famous music venue. The billboard will be double sided, with a 1,000 square-foot digital side and a 500 square-foot internally lit side. A clause in the billboard plans carves out $330,000 to construct a commemorative walk honoring the musical legacy of the Sunset Strip. Music by Karl Casey @ White Bat Audio
