400 FPS Daisy Model

Greetings All, Exciting news here at the Restomod Development facility, we've built a small frame Daisy that exceeds a velocity of 400 FPS most of the time! Still shooting the gun and looking forward to the results of the 100 shot average speed, but results so far are promising indeed! The donor gun for this experiment was a Daisy Model #111 built in Rodgers AR post 1958 and it utilizes the large diameter synthetic compression cup and abutment seals and has the bore and stroke of it's better known big brother, the Red Ryder. I've tended to focus on the earlier Daisy #111 Model 40 for my speed builds as well as full blown Restomods because I've always liked the look of the gun and the quality of the build but I've never gotten past 365-370 FPS on that platform. It does use a smaller diameter seal set and the difference in delivered power might rest on that. Thanks for watching!
