Mt Coonowrin aka Crookneck, Is one of the amazing Glasshouse Mountains. Situated between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, it's a great day trip to the Glasshouse township, with easy to get to lookouts, or simple to difficult graded bushwalks. Crookneck is no longer able to be climbed, due to the extreme risks associated with steep cliffs, drop offs, rock falls, and more. Many casualties including some EXPERIENCED CLIMBERS losing their lives and others getting terrible injuries. Coonowrin is there to admire only. There are plenty of other mountains to climb nearby. Dreamtime stories play Coonowrin as the cowardly son that let down his parents Beerwah & Tibrogargan. Tibrogargan gave Coonowrin his crook neck, and Tibro has kept his back turned to Coonowrin, gazing forever out to sea. There will be more Glasshouse videos to come...
