Super Mario Advance Walkthrough - World 1-1

This is a game I've been wanting to show for a while. Hard as I tried I could not find a good 100% run of this game anywhere, and thus I decided to do one myself. As you may already know, this is a remake of the original Super Mario 2 for the NES, which in turn is based on an entirely different game altogether, which is why the gameplay is so unique for a Mario title. The GBA remake has a ton more stuff though, including five special coins scattered throughout every stage, which I'll be collecting, of course. You get to play with Mario, Luigi, Peach & Toad, each of which have very unique characteristics. Mario is an all around good character, having good strength, meaning he can pull stuff from the ground quicker and throw then farther away, and he sports excellent jumping skills too and speed as well. Nothing incredibly special about him, but no flaws either. Luigi sports the highest jump of them all, but he's a bit hard to control, both in the air and on the ground. He is a bit frustrating to use, that's for sure. ^^; Peach is the weakest character, but she has an awesome jumping ability in that she can float at will midair with the press of a button. One thing to note is that you can do this as long as you jump beforehand. Falling off an edge or something won't cut it. Lastly there's Toad. He has the shortest jump of them all, which can be good or bad, it depends. In return though, he is the fastest and strongest character out there. He's definitely far from worthless, in my opinion. There's not much to talk about in this first stage. It's an intro for you to get used to this game's mechanics. I go with Peach to nab some coins a bit faster and that's about it. We also meet Birdo and you'd better get used to fighting this thing as you'll be doing so a lot.
