Zvíkov Hrad/Castle In 4K | DJI Mini 4 Pro

First steps for construction of castle Zvíkov were done by přemyslid king Přemysl Otakar I. during 1197-1230. Castle was partially constructed in 1234 with next king Václav I. who ofter visited the castle by that time. He imprisoned his son in the castle tower after rebellion. Main fortification and palace were constructed in reight of king's son Přemysl Otakar II. during 1253-1278. In 1306 Přemyslid dynaste died out by sword and castle was given to Jindřich od Rožmberk. The biggest glory of the castle was recorded under the reight of king Charles the IV., he repaired the castle and often used it as his residence. Before royal castle Karlštejn was finished castle Zvíkov hosted a crown jewels but after that castle lost it status and changed ownership of house Rožmberk and Švamberk. In 1429 castle was besieged by hussites but was not conquered. The castle kept its royal status till last third of the 16th century. Castle even held the hard times of the 30 year war due to its brilling fortification system but in 1622 the garrison surrendered and the castle was plundered by imperial troops. In 1623 castle was handed to house of Eggenberk and after they died out in 1719 castle ended up in the hands of houe Schwarzenberg. They repaired most of the damage in 18th - 20th century which made Zvíkov again one of the most important czech medieval structures. Schwarzenbergs owned the castle till 1948 and from that time castle is in hands of state. Enjoy the views of the Zvíkov castle!
