NDIS provider accused of $3.6 million fraud | 7NEWS

A Western Sydney NDIS provider, Billal Chami, has been accused of laundering $3.6 million in cash between 2022 and 2025 through fraudulent disability support claims. Federal investigators allege the 31-year-old submitted claims for services never provided to NDIS participants, with police seizing $35,000 in cash, air guns and gel blasters during a raid at a Villawood home. A magistrate has barred Chami from running or working for any disability support provider, and he faces up to four years imprisonment if convicted.
