As the Iran war is entering into a possible new phase U.S is planning a massive operation against Tehran, Reuters reported. As per Reuters, Trump's administration is considering deploying thousands of U.S. troops to reinforce its operation in the Middle East., The move comes as U.S. military prepares for possible next steps in its campaign against Iran, Reuters said citing a U.S. official. The deployments could help provide Trump with additional options as he weighs expanding U.S. operations, with the war well into its third week. According to Reuters, the steps include securing safe passage for oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz. Trump admin has also discussed options to send ground forces to Iran's Kharg Island, Reuters reported citing U.S. officials. US carried out strikes against military targets on the island on March 13, Trump has threatened to also strike its critical oil infra. The U.S. has also carried out more than 7,800 strikes since launching the war on Feb 28 and damaged or destroyed more than 120 Iranian vessels.
