Today is the continuation of "Mixed Six Pack Theme Month" here on the channel, and I'm going to be reviewing a beer from the Victory Brewing Company, and it's their Sour Monkey. This is what they're calling a Sour Brett Tripel, which is basically a Belgian-style Tripel that is brewed with spices & Brettanomyces, then soured. The base for this beer is actually their Golden Monkey, which I've had before, but I've finally decided to give this one a go after a few years of it being on the market. Let's see how it is! Commercial Description: Tastefully tart is how our monkeys describe their sour sibling. Born from the same imported malts, Belgian yeast, and a mix of magical spices, this monkey decided to take a walk on the tangy side. With a swirling citrusy, lemon bit and a delectable essence, you better pucker up and respect this monkey. Pertinent Information: Brewery - Victory Brewing Company (Downingtown, PA) Beer - Sour Monkey Style - Belgian-style Tripel (Brewed w/ spices & Brettanomyces, then soured) ABV - 9.5% IBU - 10 Bottled On Date - 06/21/19 (Approximately seven weeks old at the time of review) Social Media Contacts: Untappd https://untappd.com/user/averagejoe716 Twitter / averagejoe716 Instagram / the_beer_patroll Thanks for watching!
