A Deep Dive into Childish Gambino's Because the Internet

Childish Gambino's (Donald Glover) Because The Internet is one of the most odd and fascinating album releases that came out of the 2010's. The whole album was made in the middle of an existential crisis for Donald, and it shows in the songs where Donald is crafting a story projecting himself as the main character "The Boy", a rich young man whose strange relationship with the internet will lead him down a downward spiral, in search of anything to cling onto in order to find who he is. However, the album is incomplete without the 72-page screenplay it released with, filled with instructions as to where and when you should play songs from the album. Because the Internet is not an album. It's a soundtrack to a movie that's never been made. ***This video doesn't cover all the scenes from the screenplay and some scenes have been simplified.
