Starting from the promenade next to Taj Lands End, the run followed the Bandra Bandstand, a waterfront stretch lined with rocky shores and palm trees. The morning air carried a light breeze from the Arabian Sea, and the sky had a soft pastel hue. Passing the Bandra Fort, an old Portuguese structure with a panoramic view of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, the path continued past the amphitheater, often used for cultural events. Further along, joggers and walkers moved at their own pace near Mannat, the iconic bungalow of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan. The promenade gradually transitioned into Carter Road, a lively stretch with a wider pathway. Cafés and local eateries were beginning to open, and street vendors arranged their goods. Stray dogs, familiar to the morning runners, lazed on the pavement. Approaching Danda Village, the atmosphere shifted to a quieter, more residential setting. Fishing boats dotted the coastline, a reminder of the area's original Koli fishing community. This video is part of a series documenting a trip to West India in Winter 2025.
