You should have me prosecuted, don’t prosecute Kem Sokha for the treason allegation, for allegedly colluding with foreigners to provoke political change in Cambodia. In fact, it is me, Sam Rainsy, who is the mastermind of such a plan, not Kem Sokha. Kem Sokha is accused of treason on the basis of a recorded speech he made in Australia in December 2013. He was then vice president of the CNRP and I was the president. The highest responsibility lies with the president. Don’t blame or target the vice president. You should target me, Sam Rainsy, instead in my capacity as president. To facilitate this judicial re-targeting I ask you Hun Sen – who is listening to me – to prosecute me instead. Put an end to, or suspend, Kem Sokha’s trial. For the purpose of putting me on trial instead, I will promptly return to Phnom Penh to appear at the court once you have lifted the ban you have imposed on airlines to stop them from carrying me to Cambodia and/or once you have stopped asking the Thai government to block my transit through Thailand to enter Cambodia by land. Once in Cambodia I promise not to incite popular insurrection against your regime. I will be there just for the tribunal to prosecute me in Kem Sokha’s place. You and the tribunal under your orders seem to seriously lack evidence against Kem Sokha – mainly a photo of Kem Sokha's family eating a meal with a white person. This cannot be seriously used as evidence to accuse Kem Sokha of treason. Please take the evidence I am sending you to implicate myself. It shows my multiple and deep connections with foreigners. These documents can be sent to the court right now. As a matter of fact, I have met with countless foreign officials from the US and many major organisations that have been promoting democracy and have helped the Sam Rainsy Party and the CNRP over the last 20 to 25 years. Please take all this evidence to prosecute me. I can be in Phnom Penh in one or two days and will deliver these documents to the court or they can be sent even before. Please prosecute me with all the evidence I am giving you and spare Kem Sokha. You then would show your courage by daring confront Sam Rainsy and the truth. But if you refuse to do so, you would appear really mean. I am awaiting your answer or that of your Kangaroo court."
