“Salty” is a gorgeous mare with a nice set of papers to match. She’s got mane to her shoulders and a tail that drags the ground. She was purchased by a client of mine just under two years ago as a barrel prospect. College is starting to be busier than her owner anticipated and she hasn’t had the time to give salty the attention she deserves. Salty is light in the bridle, she flexes nicely, collects up, and has great control of her shoulders. She has a really nice stop to her and aims to please. She’s got a forward walk, a floaty trot, and an enjoyable lope. She does best with consistent work, but doesn’t not get fresh when left sitting. Salty has been entered inconsistently over the last two years, but she has been to jackpots and ran at a few rodeos (in perf and slack). She is a strong free runner with lots of rate, and needs a jockey that is capable of riding that. This mare is freakishly fast, and very talented, she needs someone that will keep up with her. She did really well at the rodeos and I can see her excelling as a rodeo horse. She lopes a nice set of poles at home, but hasn’t been entered anywhere. She has been trail ridden all over AZ and she loves to go swimming at the lake. You can ride her bareback, pony colts on her, We have moved up steers on her, swung ropes on her, and hauled her to ropings. She shows lots of potential to make a nice rope horse. She’s very easy to be around, not mareish. Turns out well with other horses. Good for the farrier. Eats and drinks on the road with no problems. Salty does require a tie ring on the trailer because she will occasionally sit back when hard tied to a trailer. It is normally not a problem if she is tied with other horses or a hay net. If she does set back- She will NOT run off, she stands there like nothing happened. That being said, she ties all day long to a solid fence. Gilbert AZ Kiersten 480-299-0242
