Welcome again, to al lovers of the model diesel engines... Another fine Italy engine of my collection.The great G15 RV.Its a famouse teamracer.This engine was a wel performing engine arround 1972 in the 2,5cc diesel class. I get the engine in great cosmetic shape with box,but compression was less good.After examen the internal engine,I found evidence of some tuning work,what was not done the way it shoud be. I find after long search a spare used cilinder& piston from Alberto Parra ,Spain (Thanks a lot for that Alberto!) Now I have the right shape to copy it.It was a dificult to make,because the angel of the transfer ports must be at 45 degrees up.This wil give a good filling of the cilinder.Of course must the ports be exact symetric too.It was my first cilinder in this type of porting... Also to the new cilinder a correct piston must be made. (..a big job...) Now its in good working condition,and the engine perform wel.I think with a 7x6 prop it wil be a real screamer!
