Quick Assist is a remote assistance tool in Windows 11, as well as in previous versions of Windows. It allows one user to connect to another user's computer remotely to help troubleshoot issues or provide technical support. This tool is especially useful when you need assistance with tasks on your computer and want someone you trust to help you from a distance. Quick Assist is typically used in the following way: The person who needs help (the "Requestor") opens Quick Assist on their Windows computer. The Requestor generates a security code or shares an existing code with the person who will provide assistance (the "Helper"). The Helper, on their own Windows computer, opens Quick Assist as well and enters the security code provided by the Requestor. Once the code is entered and accepted, the Helper gains control of the Requestor's computer (with the Requestor's consent) and can view or control their desktop to diagnose and fix issues. The Requestor can see everything the Helper is doing and can end the remote assistance session at any time. Quick Assist is a useful tool for resolving technical problems, teaching someone how to use their computer or software, or providing remote support without needing to be physically present. It's a built-in utility in Windows, making it convenient for Windows users to assist one another when needed.
