A travel documentary about a backpacker getting from San Salvador, El Salvador to Gracias, Honduras. Although most travelers might question whether hitchhiking is safe as a solo female traveler in Central America, Latin America or let alone in Honduras, I decided to trust my gut feeling and hitchhike in Honduras. Traveling to the super cute colonial town of Gracias took me 10 hours both with buses and one hitchhiked ride but finally I made it there and stayed at a really grubby hotel. I was excited to explore Honduras and to start my new backpacking adventure in this new Central American country. I tasted delicious Honduran street food, talked and laughed with locals and walked on the streets of Honduras feeling safe. Although most travellers had told me they were going to skip Honduras or wouldn't go there traveling alone, I felt safe although I was a solo woman traveling.
