DIY GORP Bars at home with GORP Energy Bar Ready Mix! Watch Colleen mixing it up in her kitchen as she brings you our tradional recipe, plus low-sugar and vegan alternatives! We've sourced all the dry ingredients - the same ingreidents as in our GORP Clean Energy Bars! All you have to do is add the sticky sweetners! Our traditional recipe on the back of the bag, but you can customize them to suit your needs! Each bag is 1.1kg and makes 25 - 65g bars for only $1.00 per bar - MAGIC! We are using 1 bag of Cocoa, Hemp & Almond Energy Bar Mix in this video - but you can chose from any of our 4 GORP Bar flavors! Low Sugar Recipe: 1 cup Honey 1.5 cups of Nut Butter 2 tbsp of Molasses (omit for Apple or Raspberry flavours) Vegan Recipe 1 cup Brown Rice Syrup 1/2 cup nut butter 1/2 cup maple syrup 2 tbsp molasses (omit for Apple & Raspberry flavours) Ready Mix Tip #1 - VIP DO NOT LET THE LIQUID INGREDIENTS BOIL! It can reduce the volume of liquid and cause the mix to be dry and harden. Just warm the liquid ingreidnets until pourable! Ready Mix Tip #2 - VIP Keep your homemade GORP bars in the fridge or freezer until ready to eat! Our Ready Mix bags are resealable so you can reuse and store them in the bag! BONUS! Our pre-made GORP Bars that are made at the GORP Factory do not need to be refrigerated because we control the temperature make them shelf stable :) Reday Mix Tip #3 If your mix is dry, don't be afraid to add more peanut butter/nut butter until it is soft! Every brand is a little different. We like to use unsweetened natural peanut butter. Ready Mix Tip #4 Pressure is a thing! We HEAVILY recommend pun intended using a rolling pin, it's about a 5-8 minute workout! Using a rubber spatula will press it together on the surface, but won't bind it together, causing it fall a part later on. You can also roll your mix into golf ball sized energy balls. For this meothod we suggest turning on your favotie movie or show...it will take some time but worth it! Two to three golf ball size protein balls equals about 1-65g GORP Bar!
