From 17 to 40: My Rapid Bee Colony Expansion (In 3 Months)!

This video explains what I will be doing for the entire 2024 season, rapidly growing hive count from 17 to 40. I will be feeding and equalizing in the next month to help all hives grow. I will make up cell builders on May 8th and I will be using a variation on the Cory Stevens method. I will graft on the 15th of May and harvest the cells ten days later. I will bring my 30 queen cells to Albion and make 30 splits. After the queens come back from their mating flights I will combine the nucs where the queen does not come back with ones where the queen did come back. I will check back in late June when I am selling eight for $225, the other 14 nucs will be moved up to Aroostook county with my 16 hives. I will graft and split when I arrive in Aroostook. After the queens mate I will likely have 18 new queens. I will requeen eight of my hives and that will put me with 40 colonies in Mid August. My bees will build up on a clover flow for winter, and I will likely have to feed as well. They will be brought down to Albion for winter.
