In detail, Habibi, going back to the Speaker, @AnitahAmong’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) money as withdrawn by junior staff of @Parliament_Ug. Where and when was the bulk of the money allegedly spent? Let's delve into that. First, the total figure of money drawn was revised upwards to 17,733,865,000/= (Seventeen billion seven hundred thirty-three million eight hundred sixty-five thousand Uganda shillings) drawn by EIGHT staff: Kaaya Rajab Semalulu, Ranny Ismail, Okema Leonard, Okwii Emmanuel Emuron, Obore Chris Ariko, Adilo Daniel, Kaguma Zainabu, and Businge Police Fred. This is because we found two more vouchers for Businge, and Zainabu. However, like I have said before, these are the people whose vouchers we found, there may be others. Starting with 400,000,000/= (four hundred million shillings) as the minimum amount, there were at least FIFTEEN such transactions in the FOUR MONTHS of April, June, July and October 2023 in the name of CSR. 1. On 17th and 19th April 2023, Kaaya Rajab withdrew 400,000,000/= & 405,000,000/= a total of 805,000,000/= (Eight hundred and five million shillings) signed off as individually as advance for the speaker’s CSR for Q4 FY 2024. 2. • On 17th and 19 April, Okema Leonard withdrew 500,000,000/= & 476,000,000/= as Speaker’s CSR for Bukedea C.O.U, Light the World Church Nansana etc and Advance towards the Speaker’s Donation fund respectively. • On 20 June 2023 he withdrew 476,000,000/= as support for Speaker to ICT clubs. • On 11 October he withdrew 673,000,000/= as CSR for the Speaker “as per attached request”. • On 16 October alone, he withdrew 500,000,000/= FOUR TIMES as CSR for “economic empowerment in Central, Western, Central (again), and Northern. His transactions, taking only those above 400,000,000/=, equalled 4,125,000,000/= (four billion one hundred and twenty-five million shillings) 3. On 19 June Okwii undertook a transaction worth 460,000,000/= (four hundred and sixty million). Most importantly, this money was CSR money - to evaluate the impact of the Speaker’s CSR. Yep! 4. On 19 July, Obore withdrew 655,000,000/= (six hundred and fifty-five million) as advance for the Speaker’s CSR in Teso sub-region. 5. On 19 and 24 July, Adilo withdrew 500,000,000/= and 750,000,000/= for the Speaker’s donations to various community development initiatives and the Speaker’s women empowerment workshop in Bukedea. Yep, do not run your eyes - 750,000,000/= for a women’s empowerment workshop in Bukedea! That sums up to 1,250,000,000/= (One billion two hundred and fifty million shillings only) 6. On 16 October Kaguma Zainabu withdrew 500,000,000/= for the Speaker’s CSR activities in Bukedea. So, taking 400,000,000/= as the minimum, the Speaker spent 7,795,000,000/= (Seven billion seven hundred and ninety-five million shillings only) in a period of just FOUR months. For this much money, ostensibly spent in such a short time, it's interesting that until the exhibition started, there was barely any mention of the Speaker’s CSR activities.
