These are of course fun, perfectly innocent, stereotypes, aimed at bringing a smile, as it enhances mutual respect between cultures. And certainly welcomed, as opposed to negative stereotypes, which can be so damaging… Well, speaking of fun stereotypes, from the Spaniards comes a drink, as well as the title of our original composition, “Sol y Sombra”!💃 Sol y Sombra is made of equal parts sweet anise, representing the Sun (Sol), because of its clear color, and cognac, or brandy, representing the Shadow (Sombra), because of its amber color. When we were little, it was absolutely normal, especially in the very early mornings, to walk past bars filled with men, many of them in their seventies, eighties, and even nineties, enjoying a glass of it, to start the day with plenty of energy!😂 For all of you who have Instagram, and in the spirit of fun, we put together a reel with a segment of us composing this piece at our studio, followed by a segment of us performing it live!
