A video is doing the rounds on social media in which it can be seen that a BJP MLA, who was campaigning for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, was being chased away by the villagers of his own constituency in Muzaffarnagar. The BJP MLA from Khatauli, Vikram Singh Saini, arrived for a meeting on Wednesday at a village. Soon after he arrived, he faced the wrath and ire of angry villagers. According to the widely circulated video, a group of villagers can be seen following the BJP MLA to his car and shouting soon after he boards his car. The villagers can be seen shouting slogans against Saini. Several said that the resentment was due to the controversial farm laws which were repealed by the government after the nation was rocked by year-long silent farmer protests. Vikram Singh Saini can be heard lashing out at them and then later folded his hands as he was being driven away. He was forced to leave his own constituency. Vikram Saini has made controversial statements in the past. In 2019, he threatened to bomb those who felt unsafe in India. In another instance, he had said, “Our country is called Hindustan, which means a nation for Hindus". He has also threatened to "break the limbs of those who kill cows". Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls are scheduled to begin from February 10 and will go on in seven phases. The results will be declared on March 10. #UPAssemblyPolls #VikramSinghSaini #BJPMLA #Election #Politics #National
