Woodturning - California Pepper Tree Crotch Bowl

I had a pepper tree die recently on the property I take care of. We know the property as pepper tree ranch. We have more than a hundred of these trees on the property. Most of them I planted over the last 30 years. Most of the brush and wood went through the chipper. I saved a crotch piece for turning. Pepper is a soft wood. Usually not a lot of interesting grain or color. I noticed a little grain pattern where the crotch was. Other than that a very light color is what we wound up with. It was a fun project and nice to turn something easy for a change. The burls I usually turn can be difficult and a little stressful. So I hope you like the video and thank you for watching.
