Push 3 can run Ableton Live without being connected to a computer in standalone mode. This allows you to create and capture ideas wherever you go with the push and when youre ready to flesh the idea out, you can connect Push 3 back to the computer for arrangement and automation. The Push 3 also has recieved an incredible upgrade to its playable pads. They now output 3 MPE parameters, slide, per note pitch bend, and polyphonic aftertouch. This addition makes playing the Push 3 much like playing a real instrument. Also the Push is now a full featured audio interface with 1/4" ins and outs, Adat, midi, pedal and cv, and it can even host a midi keyboard via its usb host port. In this video we look at all the new features as well as my personal thoughts about this rad controller for Ableton Live.
